Description
Darwin is a long dutch cucumber for heated glasshouse production. Because of its open plant architecture, it is a real generative Summer variety. Darwin produces very good in combination with high resistances against virus and powdery mildew.
The length of the fruits is 32 – 34 cm, the weight 400 – 450 gram.
The fruits are smooth with a nice dark-green color.
From trials in Northern Europe it appeared that Darwin is suitable for both traditional and high-wire crops.
Darwin is resistant (HR) to Px (Powdery Mildew), CGMMV, CVYV, CMV and Ccu (Cladosporium). It has a good tolerance to Mycosphaerella.
In short, Darwin is a productive virus-resistant variety for the North-European market.
